Terms of Service
Chiaro Note
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Sofiia Korniichuk, Poland ("we", "us"), who operates Chiaro Note. By creating an account you accept them.

1. What Chiaro Note is
Chiaro Note is a tool for artists. It lets you photograph your work, measures its value structure, palette and contrast, and discusses it with you through an AI assistant. It also keeps a practice journal, a library of exercises, and colour palettes.
It is a tool to help you look at your own work. It is not a teacher, a critic, or a guarantee of improvement.
2. Your account
You must be 16 or older to use Chiaro Note.
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for anything done through your account. Tell us promptly at sof.k252@gmail.com if you think someone else has access to it.
One account is for one person. Do not share it.
3. Subscription and payment
Price: €9 per month, including any applicable tax.
Free trial: new accounts get 14 days free. No card and no payment details are needed. You are not charged during the trial, and you cannot be charged after it — a subscription only begins if you choose to start one and enter a card yourself.
Access: your account works as soon as you create it, and the free trial starts at that moment. Full access continues for as long as your subscription is active.
When the trial ends: if you have not subscribed, paid features stop. Your account, your work and your journal stay exactly as they are, and you can subscribe at any time afterwards.
Billing: once you subscribe, €9 per month in advance, on the same date each month, through Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Cancelling: you may cancel at any time from the Membership page. Your subscription continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not renewed after that.
Right of withdrawal. As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract for digital services. The free trial means the question rarely arises: you can use the whole service for 14 days without giving us any payment details, and no money is taken unless you choose to subscribe afterwards. If you do subscribe and then change your mind within 14 days, email us and we will refund that first payment.
Refunds: we do not refund part-months. If something has gone materially wrong, email us and we will deal with it fairly.
Price changes: we will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any change. You may cancel before it takes effect.
4. If something is wrong
Chiaro Note should work as described in these terms and on the website. If it does not, tell us at sof.k252@gmail.com and say what the problem is.
We will reply to your complaint within 14 days. If we do not reply within 14 days, your complaint is treated as accepted.
If the service is not as described, we will put it right at no cost to you within a reasonable time. If we cannot put it right, you may ask for a reduction in price, or end the subscription and be repaid for the part of the service that did not work.
These rights come from Polish and EU consumer law. Nothing in these terms reduces them.
5. Your content
Everything you put into Chiaro Note — photographs of your work, journal entries, chat messages, ideas, palettes — is yours. You keep all intellectual property rights in it.
You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to provide the service to you. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not publish your work, share it with other users, sell it, or use it to train AI models.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload work that belongs to someone else, or anything unlawful.
6. The AI assistant
Replies from Flow are generated by an AI model from your messages and the measurements computed from your photographs.
The measurements are deterministic and should be accurate. The written advice is a suggestion, not a professional judgement. It may be wrong, and it is not a substitute for a teacher, a tutor or your own eye. Use it as one view among several.
Flow is not a therapist and does not provide mental-health support. If you are struggling, speak to a qualified person.
7. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Upload unlawful content, or content that infringes anyone's rights
- Try to break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service
- Use automated means to access it at scale
- Resell access, or share your account
- Use the service to harass anyone
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Chiaro Note running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change features, and we may take it down for maintenance.
If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give at least 30 days' notice, refund any unused prepaid period, and give you a way to export your data.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under Polish or EU law.
Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
We are not liable for loss of data caused by your own deletion, for decisions you make about your artwork, or for anything outside our reasonable control.
Keep your own copies of work that matters to you. Chiaro Note is not a backup service.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Chiaro Note and delete your account at any time.
We may end this agreement if you break these terms materially, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason, refunding any unused prepaid period.
On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that counts as acceptance. If you do not accept, you may cancel.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of your own country of residence.
Disputes go to the courts of Poland, except that as a consumer you may also bring a claim in the courts of your own country.
EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
